Solution — VMS

Video management software, built around your cameras.

Most organisations end up with cameras from three or four brands, spread across sites, each with its own app and its own password. We build the software layer that pulls them into one interface — and we do it without asking you to rip out working hardware.

The usual situation

Cameras everywhere,
visibility nowhere.

If any of this sounds familiar, a software layer — not more hardware — is almost certainly what you need.

  • A different app for every siteAnd a spreadsheet of IP addresses and passwords that only one person understands.
  • Nobody notices a camera has failedUntil footage is needed for an incident — and it is not there.
  • Finding an incident takes hoursScrubbing through a night of footage frame by frame because there is no useful search.
  • Anyone with the password can export anythingWith no record of who took what, or when.
What we build

The parts of a VMS that matter.

We scope each build to what you actually need. This is the full menu — most projects use a subset.

Multi-brand camera onboarding

ONVIF discovery for compliant devices, direct RTSP for the rest, and vendor SDK integration where a camera exposes features that ONVIF does not. New cameras get added by your own team, not by raising a ticket with us.

Live wall & layouts

Saved layouts per user, drag to rearrange, digital zoom, PTZ control where supported, and sensible bandwidth behaviour — sub-streams for tiles, full resolution only when a feed is opened.

Recording, retention & search

Per-camera retention rules, continuous or event-triggered recording, a motion-density timeline that lets you skip empty hours, and filters by site, camera, time band and event type.

Video analytics

Person and vehicle detection, line-crossing and intrusion zones, licence-plate recognition, loitering, people counting and PPE checks — running on a site appliance so video does not have to leave the premises.

Controlled evidence export

Exports restricted to authorised users, watermarked, hashed and recorded in an audit log with the reason given. What leaves the system is traceable to a person.

Camera health monitoring

Continuous checks for signal loss, recording gaps, defocus, obstruction and re-aiming, plus NVR disk health — so a failed camera is a ticket the same day, not a discovery during an investigation.

How a VMS project runs

Survey first, always.

Camera estates are never what the asset register says they are. We start by finding out what is really there.

01

Camera survey

Every camera, DVR and NVR catalogued with make, model, firmware and what it actually supports. You get this list whether or not you proceed.

02

Integration plan

Which devices connect as-is, which need a firmware update, and which genuinely cannot be integrated. Written down before you commit.

03

One site live

We prove the approach on a single site — including the network behaviour — before scaling to the rest of the estate.

04

Rollout & handover

Remaining sites onboarded, operators trained, documentation delivered, and a support arrangement agreed.

Questions

Things clients ask.

Usually not. If a camera supports ONVIF or exposes an RTSP stream, it can normally be integrated. The survey identifies any device that genuinely cannot be — typically very old analogue equipment with no network interface — and we tell you plainly rather than recommending replacements you do not need.

It should not, if the system is designed correctly. Recording and analytics stay on site. A central console pulls low-bitrate sub-streams only for the tiles being viewed, and full-resolution video only when a clip is exported. We size this properly during the survey and tell you what bandwidth to expect.

Yes. Fully on-premise and air-gapped deployments are supported, where the system runs on your own network and nothing is transmitted outward. Where cloud is used, you choose the region and you hold the keys.

It is development work, scoped to your estate and your requirements. That means you are not paying for features you will never use, and the system fits your sites rather than the other way round. Where an off-the-shelf product would genuinely serve you better and cheaper, we will say so.

Send us your camera list.

Even a rough spreadsheet of makes, models and locations is enough. We come back with what can be integrated as it stands, and what cannot.
